WoW Forever's Controller Support Is Still in Alpha

Blizzard has brought official controller support to World of Warcraft: Forever, its newly announced upgraded take on vanilla-era WoW, with the feature currently running in an alpha state as shown at BlizzCon. The support is specific to Forever rather than a confirmed rollout across the wider WoW client.

A hands-on account from PlayDay.One describes testing the feature across two BlizzCon demos: a grouped dungeon run and the starting area for Forever's new Skyborne race. Switching to controller is handled through a menu toggle, after which the interface reconfigures for gamepad input and familiar menus become accessible through a radial selection system.
