Once you've bought these herbs from Anca in Laslea, you'll then need to remember and prepare the correct herbs recipe for Esme's medicine, or else she will suffer a terrible fate.

How to prepare the herbs recipe in The Blood of Dawnwalker

After purchasing the stronger herbs for Esme's medicine from Anca in The Blood of Dawnwalker, you'll be prompted to return back home and prepare the medicine for Coen's mother before mass. Anca will also provide a recipe for this medicine that can be easily missed, as it sits in your inventory after buying the herbs.

Fortunately, I've embedded Anca's exact recipe below in case you missed it, and explained how to correctly prepare the herbs for Esme.

Once you return home and interact with the stove, you'll be prompted to make two important decisions when it comes to preparing the medicine. You'll first need to decide what temperature water to use, and how many spoonfuls of herbs to use; doing either of these steps incorrectly will result in Esme not surviving mass later in the day, so pay careful attention here.

The correct steps for preparing the herbs recipe are as follows:

1. Add hot water.
2. Add three spoonfuls of herbs.

With the medicine made, give it to Esme, and she'll be able to keep herself together long enough to survive Brencis's foreboding presence during mass later.
